Super Mario Galaxy

Before he reached Peach's castle, Bowser attacked the Toads with his airships and froze them in crystals. He "invited" Peach to the creation of his new galaxy and warped into space with her castle to the center of the universe. When Mario tried to save her, a Magikoopa named Kamek broke the airborne path to the castle causing Mario to fall into an unknown land.

Super Mario Galaxy

There he defeated Bowser in his brand-new galaxy, retrieved the last Grand Star, and rescued Princess Peach. Without this Grand Star, the sun of Bowser's near-complete galaxy went supernova and became a gigantic black hole. Everything in the universe began to fall into the black hole. The Lumas from the Comet Observatory, including the Luma who had faithfully accompanied Mario, sacrificed themselves in order to neutralize it. The Lumas attacked the black hole's singularity, and it soon disintegrated in a massive explosion. Mario appeared in front of Rosalina, who had somehow managed to save him from the cataclysm. She told him that "this was not the end, but a new beginning for the universe," and that "the universe was an endless cycle, but one that never repeats itself exactly the same way each time."

Mario later awoke in the Mushroom Kingdom near Peach's castle. He saw everyone he'd met throughout his adventure celebrating, while Bowser and Peach sat next to him. When he looked into the sky, he noticed a green light of a new galaxy. "Welcome! Welcome, new galaxy!" Mario exclaimed, as the camera zoomed out into space, revealing that the whole universe had been merged into one giant galaxy (although the galaxy Mario saw in the sky is not shown). If the player continues with the file, Rosalina will say if all 120 Power Stars are collected, the player can travel the new world. If the player has finished the game with 120 stars, after the credits Rosalina and a group of Lumas appear on the planet Mario started on at the beginning of the game. Rosalina says, "I will watch over you from beyond the stars," and flies off to the Comet Observatory. Then the white baby Luma is shown to be alive, now residing on the small planet. Finally, if the player has just beaten the game with 120 Stars with Mario, a Luigi tab will appear with him saying: "Super Luigi Galaxy!".

The Luigi Story goes exactly the same as Mario's. Even the Luigi in Mario's story is still Luigi. When the player has defeated Bowser and continues with the Luigi Story, Rosalina will again say if Luigi collects all 120 stars, the player can travel to a new world. When the player collects 120 Stars, the player can travel to Grand Finale Galaxy, the new world and the same new galaxy Mario saw in the ending movie. This galaxy is parallel to the Mushroom World. This explains why there are two Luigi's. The 121st, and final star can be found here.

Since certain planets are either the center of a galaxy or are never seen from far away, their low-poly distance models never kick in. Their existence indicates that, at some point, these planets were likely part of a bigger galaxy and were shuffled around or re-positioned. As such, a number of them feature older designs.

A low-poly model for Buoy Base Galaxy's main planet exists, showing off the planet's original design. There are a lot more platforms and metal beams, as well as a series of bars connecting the rings around the water, forming a sort of maze. On the other side of the planet is a target landing pad, seen later in Super Mario Galaxy 2. The presence of a low-poly model indicates it was to be part of some larger galaxy. Two copies of one of the early tower parts exist under the names FloaterLandPartsA/B.

The unused low-poly model for Sand Spiral Galaxy's main planet reveals that it was originally going to feature water instead of sand. This explains the name of the planet being WaterRoadCavePlanet. The fact it even has a low-poly model implies that the planet would have been part of a larger galaxy.

How to Progress Through the Game - Players run, jump and battle enemies as they explore all the planets in the galaxy. Since this game makes full use of all the features of the Wii Remote, players have to do all kinds of things to succeed: pressing buttons, swinging the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk, and even pointing at and dragging things with the pointer.

A month after defeating their nemesis, Bowser, Mario and Luigi are sleeping in their house, when Mailtoad comes to his door with a letter reading: Dear Mario, We will be be passing over your world in the Starship. The Lumas and I will meet you in the town square. - Lubba. Happy to see that their old friend was back, Mario and Luigi start off to Peach's Castle. On the way, they stumble upon Mario's hat, the one that he lost during the departing Baby Luma. Picking it up, Mario finds Baby Luma inside with a new letter. This time, with different handwriting. Dear Mario, There is a HUGE problem where I am right now, which I don't have a clue. Anyway, that monster that you battled is back, and bigger than ever! HELP! -Lubba. Mario and Luigi thought for a moment, and then with Baby Luma in tow, headed to Peach's Castle. Arriving, the bros. found Bowser, looming over them, and suddenly discovered that the first letter was a trick. Bowser grabs Princess Peach and flies into the galaxy. Mario, Luigi, and Baby Luma seek help from a couple Lumas, that blast them into space. Mario finds himself reunited with Lubba and sets out to save Princess Peach, meeting many new and old friends along the way.

Power-ups have been an important part of Super Mario since day one, with the Mega-Mushroom making Mario super-sized and all-powerful. However, some of the power-ups in Super Mario Galaxy 2 are a little more creative.

In Shiverburn Galaxy and part of the Grandmaster Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy 2, several shadowy figures with hollow eyes can be seen standing on a cliff in the background. They belong to the galaxy's sky model, which simulates the sky by rendering at a fixed distance from the player. As a result, the figures cannot be reached in-game, and give the illusion of following the player character through the galaxy.

The word "Valley" refers to the one in the galaxy's sky model, which encompasses Shiverburn Galaxy. Thus, the course can be described as "BeyondHellValley", and the figures are part of the "BeyondHellValleySky".

In the galaxy overview, Bloom effects are applied. These are not displayed correctly if a higher IR than "Native (640x528)" is used. To display Bloom effects correctly, the improvement "Scaled EFB copy" must be deactivated.

Guest ReviewerWhere's shiverburn galaxy but otherwise I love this websiteThat's one of the soundtracks in Super Mario Galaxy 1, except it's called Lava Path (for the lava segments) and Ice Mountain (for the ice segments). That's one of the things that happens a lot, like the 1up tune (in Super Mario Bros). I hope I was helpful. :)

Twitch StreamerThis is awesome, but I don't see Shiver burn galaxy:unsure:That's one of the soundtracks in Super Mario Galaxy 1, except it's called Lava Path (for the lava segments) and Ice Mountain (for the ice segments). TailsIsCutein my eyes galaxy one is better i mean the story in this one is meh and the final battle is also meh galaxy one to me had no problemsyour brain is mush. the A-WA-WA-WA song in galaxy one is meh X 30000

This is still incomplete. There are other galaxies in the game whose music has to still be uploaded here. And there is a separate tune for the World 1 map, which is when the player is set to find the Green Stars in each galaxy.

This soundtrack definitely has less songs than the full one but i guess this works if you don't want to get very in depth. The somg quality is food though and I couldn't find most the somgs for free in one spot so this is an okay place to go if you want these songs in a pinch! Overall i would have to give it a 3/10 for not including all the somgs of super mario galaxy 2. Meh 041b061a72
